Claypots Seafood Bar

I’m a big fan of seafood. This place has alright rate on Google and we decided to try them. They have fresh fish and interesting interior design which is not similar to other fish and chips shop and bars. The quality of the food was pretty good and we liked the combination of the fish and sides. I’d recommend this place if you wanna have a good quality seafood around d St Kilda

Hardly for me give 5 stars! Worth a visit and enjoy your seafood. Great recommendations from the waiter and we follow what he recommended and how to cook it too.. you can pick and choose what you like to eat from the fridge and then they would suggest how to cook it! Love it as we managed to order garlic kind prawn which is so so good.. the garlic rich sauce can dip with multiple peace’s of breads so enjoyable! The bugs or crayfish with mussel cooked in great south Asian spices like lemon glass and sambal is so appetising. This come with with a rice cooked below that you can fill you with 💯 satisfaction! The oyster is my all time favourite .. from The Coffin bay that is briny and Tatsu.. the grilled scallop is so good with perfect grilling! Ending our food with grilled flounder and flathead fish. Loved the sambal spicy grilled of flathead fish than the flounder fish. Equally tasty with different style due to the texture of the fish! Enjoyable with a simple Pinot noir to pair. Yummy 🤤!

My first visit to Claypots was 3 years ago, I went for lunch and enjoyed it that much I returned for dinner. The older lady working there was fantastic (possibly the owner) I visited St Kilda a few days and was so excited to experience Claypots again. It did not disappoint, food was exceptional, fresh and full of flavour. An Indian lady seated us, she was quite rude and unfriendly but it didn’t taint our experience as the same lady from our last visit was working as well and she was welcoming and friendly
